Marin Center for Independent Living (Marin CIL) invites you, your staff, community members with disabilities, their families and caregivers, and the community-at-large to participate in an online EmPOWERment Town Hall webinar to learn more about new resources and supports designed to help people with disabilities live safely and independently in their homes during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and other emergencies. 

The Town Halls, online Zoom meetings, will be offered on:
• Wednesday, July 29th · 10:00-11:30am (English only)
• Wednesday, August 26th · 5:00-6:30pm (Spanish only)
• Tuesday, September 22nd · 5:00-6:30pm (English only)

The EmPOWERment Town Hall will provide an opportunity to learn about:

• How to sign up for the Medical Baseline Program to lower the rate on your monthly energy bill, if you require the use of a medical or life support device.
• How to apply for backup portable batteries for individuals who may require power for medical reasons.
• Tools to help you create a disaster plan, including a personalized disaster kit and evacuation plan.
• The programs MCE offers to improve the energy efficiency, health, and safety in your own home.
